2005 HALL Napa Valley Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc is of the Musque clone, planted at our Nap River Ranch. In the Sauterne-style, we left the fruit on the vines until well over-ripened and harvested them in November at 34.6 Brix. The high sugar content and botrytised quality translate into a wonderful richness and honeyed viscosity. Apricot jam on toast, rich honeyed fig and butterscotch glide onto the palate and settle into a long concentrated finish. This is an unctuously textured wine with a pure, bright mid-palate and sweet, silky-oak finish.
