Aromas of ripe inky blackberry, black olive and freshly plowed earth truly reflect the vineyard's extraordinary terroir. Rich, intense and lively, the wine delivers chewy, concentrated flavors of black spice, cassis and grilled fennel that are quintessentially T Bar T Ranch. Tempting in its youthful expression, the 2007 vintage will gain further complexity and softer tannins with 8 - 10 years of aging.
The Alexander Valley AVA, located in Sonoma County is known for its cool summer mornings when fog from the Pacific Ocean travels eighteen miles up the Russian River, blankets the terrain, and melts away to warm, sunny afternoons. Our T Bar T Ranch sits at an altitude of 44 to 1,100 feet and consist of well-drained soil comprised of residual clay loam, gravelly loam and sandy loam. Small vineyard parcels are scattered throughout the rugged terrain, each with unique contouring, aspects to the sun, and soil conditions. This micro-diversity bestows complexity, while mountainous conditions donate intensity and extraction to the T Bar T Fruit.
